Singapore Kite Festival

Hi everyone!

I’m posting from sunny/rainy/sunny Singapore! It’s so good to be back here and at an exciting venue for the Kite Festival! It appears there are a lot of wonderful festivals happening down here; the other day I was in Clarke Quay in the evening and to my surprise the entire harbourfront was illuminated by some incredible lanterns for the Mid-Autumnal Festival. Chinatown was also a sight to behold with mooncake carts littering the streets and lanterns hung low over the winding side-roads. It is such a beautiful time to be here in Singapore, that’s for sure!

I’ve been stuffing my face with as many mooncakes as I can, and even sampled the most incredible one yet: chocolate truffles with XO champagne. Holy crap!! Sadly, I can’t bring any of that home with me due to the need for refrigeration.  I don’t think a chocolate truffle mooncake could survive a 14 hr flight, so, alas, that means more for me while I’m here!

Work starts today; my shows are between 4-8pm down at Marina Bay! If you are local to Singapore, definitely come out for this wonderful two-day festival. You can take in some AWESOME shows (*ahem* ME), experience kite-making workshops and see and do lots of wonderfully neat things!

After this festival is over, I plan on heading back to Arab st. to decompress, or, maybe hit up Sentosa beach! But first: let’s go fly a kite! 😀
