Long time, no post!
I’m still getting used to my new website format and haven’t had any time to spend on getting things in order or learning about how to use this new interface, so sorry for the lack of images accompanying my posts!
How have you all been? Was it a good winter? My spring was pretty awesome, I dedicated a lot of time working on my new show and building new material. This year, it seems, is a development year and I will be spending less time living statue-ing and more time mounting new work! I’ve had the odd gig here and there but for the most part, I’ve been dedicated to furthering my craft!
I’m currently in York, England, working on this new show as I type! I am so excited to share it with you all once I’m finished with this little creative sabbatical: expect some amazing visuals, some signature mime, comedy and character work and–last but not least–a stunt finale!
In June, I traveled to Singapore where I worked with an amazing acrobalancer and handstand trainer to build some new skills and refine my current ones. It was gruelling training, but well worth it! I’m delighted to show off some of the new skills I learned when I get back to Toronto towards the end of August.
Speaking of the end of August, did you happen to notice that Toronto Buskerfest has MOVED this year!? Look for me and three other of my colleagues on the poster for this year’s festival celebrating the move to Yonge st! I am looking forward to coming back to Toronto this year, it has always been one of my favourite festivals of all time. I’ve spent a lot of time on the road this year in my creative development pursuits and I can’t wait to finish it all off on my home turf!
Hope everyone is well, and once I figure out how to post pictures, I totally will! Haha.
Love from the road!
